"But Apple, like everyone else in this field of incremental innovations, is standing on the shoulders of giants. A smartphone or tablet is a mobile computer, but Apple does not own all computing technology. Apple achieved key breakthroughs for those product categories. … But Apple didn’t create all of this singlehandedly on a green field."
That does not mean that Samsung did not rip off the iPhone, especially in the first two Galaxy S phones, but at the same time you cannot tell me that everyone who's asked would mistake a Galaxy S5 for an iPhone 5s, in terms of both hardware and software.
