Even though this feature is cool, I still think that it’s somewhat of a gimmick given that it’s a bit of a mission to create one that actually comes out nearly perfect. In addition, right now, it’s only available on Nexus and Google Play Edition (GPe) devices out of the box. So far, device manufacturers like Samsung have not included it on their devices.
That and the fact that you can only view them on your Android 4.2+ device and Google+ somewhat limits Photosphere’s scope and impact. So, while I appreciate the improvements, personally, it doesn’t impact me as I don’t really use it on my Nexus 4. I doubt the majority of Android users use it as well given that most devices don’t run stock software.
