As Android becomes more secure, rooting will become tougher. It’s good to know in one way because Android security has been heavily criticized by its detractors in the past. However, at the same time, there is a lot of innovation in custom ROMs, which in most cases require root to install. I personally don’t root, but once my Nexus 4 becomes a secondary device, I will give it a go, because, hey, why not? For now I’ll let Google be my guide and give me the updates as they please.
