With iWork, Apple Walks It Back Before Moving Forward

I appreciate that Apple now has a full suite of productivity apps that have just about the same experience on the three major platforms: web, desktop and mobile. In comparison Google Docs is arguably best on the web and Office is arguably best on the desktop, while the remaining respective platforms for each solution aren’t as well addressed.

I’m not saying that having the same experience on all three platforms makes iWork the most viable suite for productivity overall, far from it, but it’s something for the competition to think about. In today’s world, being the preferred solution on your strongest platform alone shouldn’t be enough, not even two out of three.
